Jericho Road Directors – and their board members -- are not only volunteer matchmakers, they are also innovators. As they use our model day to day, they continuously try out new ideas and improve on what we already do.
To help Directors and board members connect and share what works, and sometimes what doesn't, Jericho Road created the Learning Community. Both virtually and in person, Directors and board members can share experiences and new ideas in:
- Volunteer recruitment and retention
- Nonprofit needs assessments
- Managing collaborations
- New program development
- Measuring impact
The fall 2016 Learning Community Conference brought Directors together in person around specific topics, including how to best measure the outcomes of completed projects. The work resulted in a new measurement tool and set of protocols Directors will implement in the coming year to generate a fuller set of data. With the help of our Learning Community Coordinator, Directors hope to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of project work on both nonprofits and volunteers.
